CAS:1-Ethylpyridinium Bromide is an oxidizing agent that can be used to detect the presence of pyridinium ions in solution. This chemical is soluble in water, alcohols, and ethers. It has a redox potential of -1.3 V vs. a standard hydrogen electrode (SHE). 1-Ethylpyridinium Bromide reacts with metal carbonyls to form a pyridine ring structure. This reaction can be monitored by FT-IR spectroscopy or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). 1-Ethylpyridinium Bromide can also be used to measure the viscosity of liquids and crystalline cellulose in urine samples.Formula:C7H10BrNPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:188.07 g/molRef: 3D-FE60728
