CAS:Coronene is a molecule that has been used as a model system for studying the transport properties of hydrogenated polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It has been shown to be thermodynamically stable and soluble in trifluoroacetic acid, which makes it a good candidate for analysis by laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS). Coronene binds with high affinity to its own monomer, but also binds with low affinity to other molecules such as carbon disulphide and naphthalene. The equilibrium constant of the binding reaction can be calculated using the analytical method and binding constants. The reaction mechanism of coronene is still not completely understood, but it is thought that it may involve an intramolecular hydrogen transfer.Formula:C24H12Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:300.35 g/mol
