    Tetrabutylammonium perchlorate is a chemical compound that has a wide variety of uses. It can be used as an analytical reagent and as an oxidizing agent in organic synthesis, as well as in the production of synthetic rubber and polyurethane. Tetrabutylammonium perchlorate is also used in the titration calorimetry method to measure human serum redox potentials. This chemical has been shown to have transfer reactions with glycoside derivatives, such as phenylglycosides, which are commonly found in natural products and pharmaceuticals. Tetrabutylammonium perchlorate is stable at high temperatures and has a redox potential of -0.1 V (vs NHE).
