    Methyl 6-aminohexanoate hydrochloride is a linear polymeric compound that inhibits the activity of antigens. It has high specificity and ester hydrochloride, phosphazene, and covalent immobilization properties. This compound is potent in inhibiting the growth of certain tumor cells. Methyl 6-aminohexanoate hydrochloride can also be used as a chemical probe for studying biological reactions that are involved in the synthesis and degradation of polymers. Methyl 6-aminohexanoate hydrochloride has been shown to have anti-tumor activity in cancer cell lines. The mechanism of action is not known but may involve disruption of cell membranes or inhibition of protein synthesis.
