CAS:1H-Benzo[d]azepin-2(3H)-one is an active ingredient that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and pesticides. It is a thionyl chloride that has the chemical formula CHClNOS. The compound is mainly used in the synthesis of fluoroquinolones, which are antibiotics for bacterial infections. 1H-Benzo[d]azepin-2(3H)-one reacts with an amide to form a chlorinated amide. This reaction is called alkylation and it can be done using an organic solvent or chloride as a catalyst. The product from this reaction is then reacted with trifluoroacetic acid to produce a conjugated acid. Hydrochloric acid can be used to convert the conjugated acid into its salt, which can then be neutralized by ammonium hydroxide to produce 3,4-dimethoxyphenylacetic acid (DMPA).Formula:C10H9NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:159.2 g/mol
