  • 1-Phenylcyclohexanamine hydrochloride

    Controlled Product
    CAS:
1-Phenylcyclohexanamine hydrochloride is a secondary amine that binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of rat liver microsomes and dopamine, with a primary amino group. The analogs of 1-phenylcyclohexanamine hydrochloride are active and have been shown to inhibit acetylcholinesterase in rat brain tissue. This inhibition leads to an increase in the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which causes an excitatory effect on the central nervous system. 1-Phenylcyclohexanamine hydrochloride is also used as a molecular model for studying glutamate receptors because of its similar structure.
