5'-O-DMT-2'-fluoro-2'-deoxyinosine is a novel nucleoside that has been modified with 2'-fluoro and 2'-deoxy substitutions. It is phosphoramidite, which can be activated by any of the standard methods to make DNA or RNA. 5'-O-DMT-2'-fluoro-2'-deoxyinosine is synthesized from DMT and fluoroacetyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine. This nucleoside has antiviral activity against HIV and influenza A virus, as well as anticancer effects.
