CAS:2-(Butylamino)ethylamine is a cationic dye that is used in optical regulation. It has been shown to regulate optical properties of organic solvents, such as pH and viscosity, by altering the dipole moment of the solvent. The reaction solution contains 2-(butylamino)ethylamine and an organic solvent with a high boiling point (e.g., tetrahydrofuran). This reaction can be carried out in a magnetic field to increase yields.
