Tetraisopropyl Orthosilicate
CAS:Tetraisopropyl Orthosilicate is a cationic polymerization catalyst that is used in the production of polyester resins. It is also used as a solid catalyst for chemical reactions, such as hydrogen chloride gas production from hydrochloric acid and glycol ethers. This compound has been shown to have high chemical stability and low toxicity. Tetraisopropyl orthosilicate can be used as a filler in paints because of its light emission properties. It has been found in the form of crystalline polymorphs with different diameters and hydroxyl groups, which result in different particle sizes.
