CAS:6-Bromobenzo[d]oxazol-2(3H)-one is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme, spindle pole body protein 2 (SPBP2). This compound has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells and may represent a new class of anticancer agents. 6-Bromobenzo[d]oxazol-2(3H)-one inhibits SPBP2 by binding to the active site and blocking ATP binding, thus preventing its interaction with other proteins.
