Isoscoparin can be used as an alternative to the drug isoprenaline for the treatment of heart disease. Isoscoparin has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against k562 cells and biological studies have suggested its mechanism of action may be due to its ability to inhibit lipoprotein lipase and the synthesis of cholesterol.
