It also has tumorigenicity in the mcf-7 cell line. 4,5-Methanochrysene-d12 is metabolized by epoxidation reactions to form reaction products that have not yet been identified. This compound has not been tested for carcinogenic properties in humans or animals. 4,5-Methanochrysene-d12 reacts with DNA and proteins in subcutaneous tissues and induces tumors of the liver and kidney.
