CAS:1-Iodo-2-naphthol is an organic compound that belongs to the halophenols. It is a chiral compound and can be used as an optical reagent for determination of enantiomers. 1-Iodo-2-naphthol can be used in the Suzuki coupling reaction, which is a reductive elimination reaction between aryl bromides and organoboronic acids or organoboranes to form new carbon-carbon bonds. The reaction yields can be increased by use of hydrogen chloride or iodide, or by irradiation. Hydrogen bonding has been shown to stabilize the structure of 1-iodo-2-naphthol.Formula:C10H7IOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:270.07 g/molRef: 3D-FI148580
