o-Topolin
CAS:Otopolin is a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that has been found to be cytotoxic to tumor cells in vitro. It inhibits the production of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, which are associated with inflammation and malignant growth. Otopolin binds to the ATP-binding site on the enzyme cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) and blocks the conversion of cyclin D1 to CDK2. This prevents activation of protein kinase C, which is involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Otopolin also inhibits the phosphorylation of p38 MAPK (mitogen activated protein kinase), which has been implicated in the progression of cancer cells. The molecular weight of otopolin is 554.6 Da, as determined by mass spectrometry analysis. The chemical formula for otopolin is C36H57N5O11P4S4 with an empirical formula weight of 706.8 g/Formula:C12H11N5OPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:241.25 g/molPhenol, 2-[(9H-purin-6-ylamino)methyl]-
