It is a colorless oil with a melting point of 145°C. 4-Benzyloxy-2-dimethylamino-pyrimidine-5-boronic acid has been shown to react with nitrophenols in presence of hydroxide to give difluoromethylated benztriazoles in good yields. These reactions are also possible at lower temperatures, such as -78°C to -25°C.
