CAS:Methyl 5-bromonicotinoylacetate is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the class of quinoline derivatives. It has been shown to inhibit the production of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation and pain. Methyl 5-bromonicotinoylacetate was found to be active against some bacterial strains, such as methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but not against Streptococcus pyogenes or Escherichia coli. Studies have shown that it is more potent than ibuprofen in inhibiting tumor cell growth and inducing apoptosis in human breast cancer cells (MCF-7) at doses that are less toxic to normal cells.Purity:Min. 95%
