TP-064

TP 064 is a drug that is being tested to treat neurodegenerative diseases and spinal cord injuries. TP 064 is a methyltransferase inhibitor that inhibits arginine methylation, which in turn prevents the accumulation of toxic products such as polyamines. TP 064 has been shown to be effective in reducing pain caused by nerve injury and neuropathic pain. This drug also reduces cellular toxicity and promotes nerve regeneration. TP 064 has also been shown to reduce the number of decrements in mice with nerve injury, indicating that it may be useful for patients with neurodegenerative diseases.
