CAS:3-Amino-5-fluoropyridine is a chiral amino acid that can be synthesized from butyronitrile and fluorine in the presence of an organocatalyst. The synthesis can be carried out with either a biodegradable or non-biodegradable catalyst. 3-Amino-5-fluoropyridine can be used as a precursor to prepare medicines such as fluoroquinolones, which are antibiotics that inhibit bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase and preventing transcription and replication. Fluoroquinolones are also potent anti-inflammatory agents and have been shown to reduce inflammation in animal models of asthma, arthritis, and colitis. 3-Amino-5-fluoropyridine can be synthesized from nitro compounds with aluminium mediated reactions. Nitro compounds are toxic substances that have been used in explosives or as herbicides.Formula:C5H5FN2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Off-White PowderMolecular weight:112.11 g/mol
