5-Amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carboxamide
CAS:5-Amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carboxamide is an experimental drug that has been shown to inhibit DNA glycosylases, which are enzymes that remove the glycosyl group from the nucleotide cytidine. These enzymes are involved in both spontaneous and catalyzed deamination of cytidine residues. 5-Amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4 carboxamide has been shown to enhance the deamination of cytidine bases with a temperature range of 37°C to 60°C. This study shows that 5 amino 1 methyl 1 H imidazole 4 carboxamide is able to catalyze dna glycosylases at low concentrations, which may be due to its ability to bind and stabilize the enzyme's active site. 5 amino 1 methyl 1 H imidazole 4 carboxamide also enhances staphylococcal growth at higher concentrations, but not at lowerFormula:C5H8N4OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:140.15 g/mol5-Amino-1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-carboxamide
