CAS:2-Chloro-N-(4-ethoxyphenyl)acetamide (CETPA) is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have antimycobacterial activity. It binds to the active site of enzymes in the cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, inhibiting the synthesis of mycolic acids and thus leading to cell death. CETPA can also bind to the active sites of enzymes in the cell wall of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, resulting in inhibition of bacterial growth. 2-Chloro-N-(4-ethoxyphenyl)acetamide has analgesic properties and can be used as a topical agent for pain relief from minor aches and pains. It also has an antituberculosis effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis through hydrogen bonding with thymine residues. This drug is metabolized by dehydrating conjugation with chloride ions and elimination by renal excretion.Formula:C10H12ClNO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:213.66 g/molRef: 3D-FC59307
