Morphine 6-D-glucuronide-D3 is a modification of morphine. It is a complex carbohydrate that has been custom synthesized and contains an oligosaccharide, a monosaccharide, methylation and glycosylation. The carbohydrate chain is composed of sugar units linked by glycosidic bonds. The sugar units are either glucose or galactose with an acetal linkage to the glucuronide moiety. Morphine 6-D-glucuronide-D3 has been fluorinated at the 3’ position and saccharides have been attached at the 2’ position.
