CAS:2,6-Dimethoxypyridine-3-boronic acid is a boronic acid that can be used in cross-coupling reactions. In this process, an organic compound reacts with a metal to produce a new organic compound. The pyridine ring of 2,6-dimethoxypyridine-3-boronic acid is shown in the X-ray crystal structure of the molecule. This molecule has two different isomers which are 2,6-dimethoxypyridine and 3,5-dimethoxypyridine. The orientation of these isomers can be systematically changed by rotating the molecule about its central carbon atom. These changes affect the photophysical properties of this molecule.
