The pharmacokinetics of this drug has been studied in humans and shown that it is excreted mainly via the bile and urine. In animal studies, (S)-methyl 4-(1-aminoethyl)benzoate has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis and have anti-inflammatory effects in inflammatory pain models.
