Etanidazole
CAS:Etanidazole (SR-2508) is a radiosensitizing 2-nitroimidazole that targets glutathione, aiding in cancer imaging and treatment.Formula:C7H10N4O4Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:214.18Etanidazole
CAS:Controlled ProductStability Hygroscopic Applications Etanidazole is a kind of hypoxic radiosensitizer (a drug that sensitizes tumour cells to radiation therapy). Etanidazole is used in conjunction with Paclitaxel (P132500) to treat glioma, and is also used with Carboplatin (C177500) to treat advanced ovarian cancer. CAS:Etanidazole (ETN) is a prodrug that is converted to the active form etanidazole-D4 in vivo. ETN has been shown to be effective as a cytotoxic agent against various types of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. ETN has significant cytotoxicity against hypoxic cells, including acute toxicities caused by high doses of radiation or other agents. Etanidazole-D4 is an anti-cancer compound that has been shown to kill tumor cells through covalent linkages with DNA and cell nuclei, which causes the breakdown of the DNA backbone. Etanidazole-D4 also inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death by inhibiting the production of proteins vital for cell division.Formula:C7H6D4N4O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:218.2 g/mol
