CAS:Monobutyltin oxide is a monocarboxylic acid that is used in the synthesis of polyesters and polycarboxylic acids. It is also used as an experimental model to study the transport rate of hydroxyl-containing compounds, such as methyl ethyl carboxylate, which have a cytosolic calcium ion concentration that is dependent on their reaction mechanism. Monobutyltin oxide has been shown to be cytotoxic to cells when it reacts with organometallic compounds, such as radiation or fatty acids. The optimum concentration for monobutyltin oxide has not been determined; however, at high concentrations it can cause cell death.Formula:C4H10O2SnPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White Off-White PowderMolecular weight:208.83 g/mol
