    Ent-Kaurenol is a dinucleotide phosphate that has been reconstituted from the natural mixture of ent-kaurenene and kaurenene. Ent-Kaurenol has shown to be an active substance for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis and asthma. It also has anti-inflammatory effects in vitro assays at camp levels that are equivalent to forskolin. The detection sensitivity of ent-kaurenol is much higher than that of kaurenene and can be measured with a nutrient solution containing deuterium isotope. The effect of ent-kaurenol on wild type and mutant strains was studied using synthetic pathway analysis. Results showed that the mutant strain is more sensitive to the compound than the wild type strain, which may be due to differences in enzyme activity or protein expression levels.
