2-Palmitoylglycerol
CAS:2-Palmitoylglycerol is a monoacylglycerol that is synthesized from the breakdown of dietary fats. It is also synthesized in tissues through the action of phospholipase A2 and diacylglycerol acyltransferase. 2-Palmitoylglycerol has been shown to bind to the cannabinoid receptor type 1 (CB1), which leads to activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPARα).
