    o-Nicotine is a nicotinic alkaloid found in tobacco. It is a cholinergic agonist that binds to the acetylcholine receptors, stimulating the production of acetylcholine. Acetylcholine has been shown to have an effect on cancer cells and may be used as a therapeutic agent for colorectal cancer. o-Nicotine also stimulates serotonin and dopamine release in the brain, which are neurotransmitters that regulate mood and behaviour.
