CAS:Octen-3-yl acetate is a volatile oil that is found in human tissues, such as the skin. It can be used as a functional group for synthesizing other compounds. It has been shown to cause allergic reactions in humans, but has not been shown to be an allergen. Octen-3-yl acetate has been shown to have conditioning properties and is used in cosmetic products as an end point. Humans have been shown to be able to detect octen-3-yl acetate at concentrations of 1ppb or less and it appears to have a role in pheromones. This compound may also be used as a dry weight agent for chemicals that are difficult to weigh accurately. Octen-3-yl acetate has been shown to disrupt metathesis reactions when mixed with other compounds, such as 2,6 dichlorobenzaldehyde and benzoyl chloride.Formula:C10H18O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:170.25 g/mol
