CAS:2-Methyl-2-adamantyl acrylate is a synthetic polymer that can be used as an epoxy, corrosion, or transfer agent. It is a colorless liquid with a boiling point of about 175°C. The reaction yield for 2-methyl-2-adamantyl acrylate is about 100%. This product has a hydrophobic nature and can be used to coat metal parts without the need to use organic solvents. It reacts with lithium metal in the presence of tert-butyl alcohol, which causes it to polymerize and form an adduct. The reaction time for this process is 3 hours at room temperature.
