CAS:Acetylcarnitine chloride is a prodrug that is metabolized to acetyl-L-carnitine by esterases in the blood. The acetyl group of acetyl-L-carnitine enters the mitochondria and reduces the activity of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I, which transports long chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for beta oxidation. Acetylcarnitine chloride has been shown to increase the uptake of nab-paclitaxel in human monoclonal antibody (mAb) hybridoma cells and has also been shown to improve respiratory control in rats with muscle injury. Acetylcarnitine chloride is used as a drug substance for the manufacture of nab-paclitaxel, a chemotherapeutic agent.Formula:C9H18ClNO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:239.7 g/mol
