CAS:3-(2-Chloroethyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-2-one is a cytostatic drug with enzyme specificity. It is a synthetic derivative of the natural product pyrazinamide, which inhibits the activity of dihydrofolate reductase in the synthesis of purine nucleotides. 3-(2-Chloroethyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-2-one has been shown to be active against rat bladder cancer cells in vitro and in vivo.
