R-(-)-Ethyl nipecotate
CAS:R-(-)-Ethyl nipecotate is a chiral molecule that has been shown to inhibit serine proteases. The enantiopure form of this compound was found to be more potent in inhibiting the activity of inflammatory enzymes than the racemic mixture. R-(-)-Ethyl nipecotate also inhibits uptake of these enzymes, which may be due to its ability to inhibit membrane transport proteins. In addition, R-(-)-Ethyl nipecotate has been shown to have an inotropic effect on rat heart muscle and may act as an inhibitor of cholinergic receptors in rat striatal membranes. Chromatographic methods have been used to identify the presence of this substance in rat striatal membranes and acid complexes have been used for its purification.Formula:C8H15NO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:157.21 g/molEthyl (R)-(-)-3-Piperidinecarboxylate
