CAS:1,6,7-Trihydroxyxanthone is a natural product that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells and inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It induces apoptosis by inhibiting the activity of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and its receptor. 1,6,7-Trihydroxyxanthone also inhibits the activity of polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which is a technique used to amplify DNA sequences. This compound also has anti-cancer properties due to its ability to inhibit the expression of a gene involved in cellular growth in cervical cancer cells. The compound binds to the receptor for epidermal growth factor (EGF) and blocks its interaction with EGF receptors on the surface of cancer cells. It also interacts with DNA polymerase II and inhibits DNA synthesis. 1,6,7-Trihydoxyxanthone can be found in plants such as Hydrangea macrophylla var. thunbergii or HydrangeaFormula:C13H8O5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:244.2 g/mol
