CAS:Tetraethylammonium perchlorate (TEAP) is a water-soluble salt that has been used as a catalyst in wastewater treatment. TEAP has been shown to be less reactive than other salts such as potassium perchlorate, which can cause explosions. TEAP is used to oxidize trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), which occurs naturally in wastewater, by forming pyridinium and hydrogen peroxide. The oxidation of TFA can reduce the redox potentials of the system and prevent the formation of toxic compounds such as chlorinated hydrocarbons. TEAP also reacts with coumarin derivatives to form electroactive species that can be detected by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The nitrogen atoms on the molecule are susceptible to reduction, which can be monitored using EIS.Formula:C8H20ClNO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:229.7 g/molRef: 3D-CAA56783
