D-Iditol
CAS:Controlled ProductApplications D-iditol is a sugar alcohol that accumulates in galactokinase deficiency. References Muniruzzaman, S., et al.: Glycobiol., 6, 795 (1996)Formula:C6H14O6Color and Shape:NeatMolecular weight:182.1718D-Iditol
CAS:D-Iditol is a chromatographic stationary phase that is used for hydrophilic interaction chromatography. It is a polymer of 1,2-diols and long-chain fatty acids. D-Iditol has been shown to have long-term toxicity in rats and has been shown to be carcinogenic in mice. This substance binds to calcium stearate and forms ternary complexes with glutamate dehydrogenase and calcium stearate. The kinetic data on the formation of these complexes can be obtained using light signal detectors. D-Iditol also has an affinity for hydroxyl groups found in proteins, giving it the ability to bind to proteins such as glutathione reductase, cytochrome p450, mycobacterium, and erythrocytes.Formula:C6H14O6Purity:Min. 98 Area-%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:182.17 g/molD-Iditol
