N-(2-Phenylethyl)indomethacin amide
CAS:Indomethacin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). Indomethacin has been shown to inhibit cell proliferation in prostate cancer cells. It also inhibits the growth of atherosclerotic lesions in rat models and decreases the accumulation of fatty acids, which may be due to its inhibition of COX-2. Indomethacin has been shown to have a linker effect on tubule cells, which leads to an increase in oxidative phosphorylation, as well as a decrease in renal proximal sodium transport. Indomethacin amide was found to inhibit COX activity at concentrations less than 1 μM without cytotoxic effects on cultured human kidney proximal tubule cells.Formula:C27H25ClN2O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:460.95 g/molRef: 3D-FP26964
