Ethyl 4-(2-chloroacetylamino)benzoate
CAS:Ethyl 4-(2-chloroacetylamino)benzoate is a reagent that is used to produce aminosulfonyl chlorides. It can be used as an efficient method for the deacylation of thionylated peptides and proteins. The reaction product, which is a sulfonamide, can be hydrolyzed by acid to give the corresponding carboxylic acid. This reagent also has been shown to inhibit the activity of cytosolic phospholipase A2 in human erythrocytes and has been used as a probe for this enzyme in other systems. The inhibition of this enzyme leads to a decrease in arachidonic acid production, which may have therapeutic potential in diseases such as atherosclerosis.Formula:C11H12ClNO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:241.67 g/molBenzoic acid, 4-[(2-chloroacetyl)amino]-, ethyl ester
