Methyl 1-(2,4-difluoro-phenyl)-5-((4-tert-butyl-thiosemicarbazono)methyl)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (SNX-111) is a drug that has been shown to be useful in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. It has a low potency, but it is activated by colonic bacteria and has been shown to have clinical use for the treatment of bowel disease. SNX-111 also acts as a potent antagonist of actin filaments and y-27632. It has been shown to reduce cardiac hypertrophy and primary sclerosing cholangitis. SNX-111 inhibits VSMC proliferation in vitro and in vivo.
