CAS:1,3-Thiazolan-2-one is a thiazolidinone that inhibits ATP-sensitive potassium channels. It binds to the receptor site of the channel and blocks its activity. This drug has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a number of bacteria and fungi, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans. 1,3-Thiazolan-2-one also has antiproliferative effects in vitro on cancer cells. The compound is structurally related to coumarins and may have anticancer properties. 1,3-Thiazolan-2-one can be used as an inhibitor of P-glycoprotein (Pgp) in vitro. This drug also has nitro groups that can form hydrogen bonds with other molecules and carbon disulphide groups that are easily oxidized to form hydroxyl groups or pFormula:C3H5NOSPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:103.14 g/mol1,3-Thiazolidin-2-one
