2,6-Difluorophenol
CAS:2,6-Difluorophenol is a phenolic compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This compound has been shown to bind to GABA with hydrogen bonding interactions. The vibrational spectra show a hydrogen bond between the fluorine atom and the hydroxyl group. The molecular structure of 2,6-difluorophenol is composed of two phenol rings with a hydroxy group in between. These rings are connected by an intramolecular hydrogen bond. The photoelectron spectra indicate that this molecule has a strong electron affinity due to the presence of an unpaired electron on the fluorine atom. This molecule also has an activation energy of 13 kcal/mol, which is higher than most other molecules in its class.Formula:C6H4F2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:130.09 g/mol2,6-Difluorophenol
