CAS:Sulmarin is a film-forming polymer that is used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Sulmarin is a polymeric matrix that can be reconstituted with fatty alcohols and fatty acids to form a therapeutic dosage. Sulmarin's active ingredient is myristic acid, which has an analog called sulmazole. The conjugates of sulmazole are sulmazole sulfate and sulmazole acetate. Sulmarin's efficacy in treating inflammation of the bowel may be due to its ability to act as a potent anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits prostaglandin production by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes.Formula:C10H8O10S2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:352.3 g/mol
