CAS:5-Methylthio-1H-tetrazole is a reactive compound that has been shown to be an apoptosis-inducing agent in vivo. The mechanism of action involves the induction of DNA fragmentation and activation of caspases by binding to the mitochondrial membrane. 5-Methylthio-1H-tetrazole has antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, such as Enterococcus faecalis, and Gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli. It also shows hypoglycemic effects and can be used to treat infectious diseases. This drug may have adverse effects on pediatric patients. There are also several drug interactions that may occur with 5-Methylthio-1H-tetrazole, including inhibition of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) by methyltransferase inhibitors.Purity:Min. 95%
