Benzaldehyde 4-nitrophenylhydrazone
CAS:Benzaldehyde 4-nitrophenylhydrazone is a fluorescent, thermodynamic and kinetic probe that is used to measure the concentration of chloride in water. It has been shown to be an effective way to monitor the kinetics of oxalyl chloride hydrolysis by cyclometallation. The fluorescence intensities are proportional to the concentrations of chloride ions in water samples and have been found to be constant with time. This experimental data demonstrates that the probe is able to distinguish between different types of nitro compounds, such as nitrobenzene, nitrotoluene, and nitroethane, which have different reactivities towards benzaldehyde 4-nitrophenylhydrazone. The probe also reacts with tribromide ions and phenyl substituents, such as chlorobenzene or 2-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzotrifluoride.Formula:C13H11N3O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:241.24 g/molBenzaldehyde 4-Nitrophenylhydrazone
