It has been shown to be effective for the diagnosis of bacterial strains and can be used for the treatment of cancer. This compound has also been studied for its use as an antimicrobial agent against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which may lead to new treatments for MRSA infections.
