1-(Piperidin-4-yl)ethanone
CAS:1-(Piperidin-4-yl)ethanone is a metabolite of the antibiotic, pyrazinamide. It is an antimycobacterial agent and has been shown to be effective against strains of tuberculosis, but not against other mycobacteria such as Mycobacterium avium complex. 1-(Piperidin-4-yl)ethanone has been shown to inhibit cellular growth by preventing the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. The mechanism of action for this drug is unclear, but may involve inhibition of thione reductase enzymes. The biosynthesis of 1-(piperidin-4-yl)ethanone has been studied in detail using caco-2 cells and chromatographic methods. This compound can be synthesized from oxadiazolone through the chloroformate pathway or from acetaldehyde through dehydration.Formula:C7H13NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:127.18 g/molRef: 3D-FP154829
