CAS:Trimethylsilyl Blocking Agent Used as a protecting group for reactive hydrogens in alcohols, amines, thiols, and carboxylic acids. Organosilanes are hydrogen-like, can be introduced in high yield, and can be removed under selective conditions. They are stable over a wide range of reaction conditions and can be removed in the presence of other functional groups, including other protecting groups. The tolerance of silylated alcohols to chemical transformations summary is presented in Table 1 of the Silicon-Based Blocking Agents brochure. 1- Methoxy-1-trimethysiloxy-2-methyl-1-propene; Methyl(trimethylsilyl)dimethylketene acetal; 1-Methoxy-2-methyl-1-(trimethylsiloxy)propene Used for silylation of acids, alcohols, thiols, amides and ketonesNafion SAC-13 has been shown to be a recyclable catalyst for the trimethylsilylation of primary, secondary, and tertiary alcohols in excellent yields and short reaction timesSummary of selective deprotection conditions is provided in Table 7 through Table 20 of the Silicon-Based Blocking Agents brochureFormula:C8H18O2SiPurity:97%Color and Shape:Straw LiquidMolecular weight:174.311-Methoxy-1-(trimethylsiloxy)-2-methyl-1-propene

CAS:Dimethylketene Methyl Trimethylsilyl Acetal (DMKMSA) is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has a hydroxyl group. DMKMSA has been shown to exhibit insulin resistance and to have anti-inflammatory properties. It also has a reactive functional group, which makes it suitable for use as a chemical structure. DMKMSA can be synthesized by the reaction of dimethylketene with methyl trimethylsilyl acetal in the presence of an acid catalyst, such as sulfuric acid or p-toluenesulfonic acid. The reaction results in two products: DMKMSA and hydrogen gas. DMKMSA is stable in water vapor at room temperature, but decomposes at higher temperatures. In addition, DMKMSA complexes well with water molecules, making it suitable for use as an agent for transfection experiments on cells.Formula:C8H18O2SiPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:174.31 g/molRef: 3D-FD61183
