CAS:2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-(4-fluorophenyl)pyridine is a derivate of the pyridine ring. It is soluble in water and has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the soluble guanylate cyclase, which is an enzyme that converts GTP to cGMP. This inhibition leads to reduced levels of cGMP in the blood stream and may be used for the treatment of cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension, myocardial infarction, or angina. 2-Chloro-3-cyano-6-(4-fluorophenyl)pyridine also binds with high affinity to ligands containing a furyl group, such as formyl and nucleophilic compounds. It can also be used as a fluorescent probe for protein labeling in electrophoresis gels.Formula:C12H6ClFN2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:232.64 g/molRef: 3D-FC54085
