CAS:1,2-Dichloro-3-nitrobenzene is a liquid that is soluble in organic solvents and has low energy. It is used as an intermediate in the preparation of pesticides, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. 1,2-Dichloro-3-nitrobenzene has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase and the proteolytic enzyme trypsin. The effects of 1,2-dichloro-3 nitrobenzene on other enzyme activities are less clear. This chemical also reacts with acylation reagents to form diphenyl ether or aryl halide products. The rate of reaction depends on the pH level. At higher pH levels, more nitro groups react to form hydroxide solution or alkaline solutions with aqueous sodium hydroxide. At lower pH levels, nitration reactions dominate and produce more acylation productsFormula:C6H3Cl2NO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:192 g/mol
