CAS:4-Isopropyl-3-methylphenol (IPMP) is a chemical compound that is used as an antimicrobial agent. It has the ability to inhibit the growth of different types of fungi, including Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. IPMP is extracted from natural compounds by solid phase microextraction techniques. It has been shown to be more effective than benzalkonium chloride and triclosan in vitro for antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. IPMP also has the ability to kill bacteria and reduce the number of bacteria in wastewater treatment systems. The toxicity of IPMP on mammalian cells has been studied extensively with no significant effects found at concentrations up to 100%. Sodium citrate can be used in place of water when extracting IPMP from solution. The kinetic energy of water vapor can be measured using a mass spectFormula:C10H14OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:150.22 g/mol4-Isopropyl-3-methylphenol
